Cape Fear Seafood Company

Cape Fear Seafood Company (CFSC) was founded by southeastern NC native, Evans Trawick in 2008. CFSC slowly, but surely, built a loyal customer base of local Wilmingtonians who loved great seafood. In 2012, the company began hitting its stride with an expansion to the original location, followed by two more restaurant locations opening in 2015 (Porter’s Neck) and 2017 (Leland). In 2018, Trawick enlisted two long-time employees Eddie Elliott and Matt Wivell to carry the brand to Raleigh and signed the duo to an area franchise agreement. Their first location opened in June of 2019 on Spring Forest Road in N. Raleigh and the restaurant was very well received by guests and critics.

With the momentum slowed by the pandemic, Elliott and Wivell worked hard to survive the storm and make operational changes to sustain the business. When the opportunity to sign a lease arose at the Village District (Cameron Village), the duo decided they had to press forward and stick to the plan of growth. Dedication to quality products and southern hospitality has been the catalyst in CFSC becoming Eastern North Carolina’s “go-to” for seafood, cocktails, and great service.
